Portstewart Presbyterian Church is a family church, whether it’s our Sunday morning worship at 10:30 each week or the various youth and young people programs provided through the week or more in-depth teaching for adults, there is something for everyone

Creche

Available each Sunday from 10:30 am. Parents are welcome to leave children with our creche leaders or to stay with them and enjoy the opportunity for a chat.

Treasure Hunters

Bible stories, games and quizzes for children of primary school age. Treasure hunters begins at 10:30, the children join with the rest of the church at 11:10 before being collected by parents at 11:30.

Bible Class

Applying the bible to real life situations for teenagers in year 8 – 10 from 10:30 am every Sunday. Our teenagers join the rest of the church at 11:10 for family themed worship before being picked up by parents at 11:30 am.

Youth Fellowship

Is on each Sunday evening, September – June from 6.30pm until 8.00pm at the church hall for year 8 – year 13, we come together for food, games, chats, and bible time. It is a great place to have fun and learn more about God’s word and love.

Throughout the week

Blaze

BLAZE is our junior club and runs every Saturday 6 – 7.30pm (during term time) Blaze is a safe space where children have the opportunity to play and interact together, and we hope, make new friends. We value each child and their differences; we encourage the children to participate in all activities while engaging with each other. Every week we have a short epilogue, a time to hear about Gods love and other Bible truths. We welcome ALL Children from P4-P7 and look forward to the incoming year.

Chill

CHILL is on each Saturday evening, September – June from 7.30pm until 9.30pm in the Church Hall for Year 8 – year 13, at Chill we play sports, games, watch TV and chill out with the pool table, air hockey table and table tennis. We also set aside a short time to talk about God’s love for each young person. Our young people are important to us, and we have built a safe place where they can come, relax, make friends, and feel supported by all.

GB

In GB we aim to show the girls how living faithfully for God equips them to thrive in an ever-changing world. Explorers, age 3 to P4 meet from 6pm to 7:00pm and Company Section, P5 upwards meet from 7:00pm – 8:30 pm. Bible Studies

Our bible study meets on Thursday nights at 7:30 in the Minor Hall. This is an opportunity to explore God’s word in a little more depth compared to a Sunday morning. We do this as we answer pertinent questions based on the text but also as we bring our own questions that come from what we have read together.

Prayer Meetings

Hoping in the Lord is our time of prayer and praise meeting on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at 6:30 pm. Our time together is structured as we spend time in Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving & Supplication. We don’t want to simply rush into asking things of God. Instead we linger in his presence discerning his will and his desire for us.

Bowls Club

The bowling club meets on Monday and Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm in the church hall. The absolute joy of joining a bowling club is the way in which experienced bowlers play alongside complete novices and yet the difference in experience and ability doesn’t matter. So, if you’re an experienced campaigner or thinking of starting a new hobby why not come along… oh and there’s a cup of tea in it for you as well!

Art Club

Art club meets each Wednesday morning at 10:30 every Wednesday morning in the church hall. Whether you are an accomplished artist or a complete beginner this is a relaxing place to enjoy a cup of tea and some fine company while you explore or stretch your artistic talents.

Little Treasures

If you have children of pre-school age, if you’re wondering how you will entertain them this incoming year, why not come along to Little Treasures in Portstewart Presbyterian Church Halls, we’d love to see you on Wednesdays at 10am.
